Praises and Thanksgivings

It has been such a blessing to be at church this week working with the youth.  John and I both feel like youth sponsors agains.  We took 25 young people from La Paz to Leon this past saturday for a youth service at Jericho Baptist Church.  The youth filled almost the whole lot of seats in the church.  Their presentation was incredible.  I think the best part for me was the  fact that Jason one of the young men in the group has just recently started to come to church.  When the construction team was here several weeks ago we stopped at his house and shared the Gospel with him.  He prayed the prayer of salvation that day and ever since then he has been attending church and participating in the youth group.  It was so amazing to see how God can touch someones life so quickly and really make a true change in ones behavior.  Some days those of us who are seasoned christians struggle with the same things over and over again and wonder when God will make a change in our lives.  After watching Jason and how much he is turning toward God it reminds me that God is working in all our lives even when we don't realize it and if we could just see it through His eyes we would understand and believe.
Friday was such a wonderful day for us.  As a spur of the moment idea we put all our baseball and soccer equipment into the van to take with us to La Paz in the hopes that we could gather enough young people to play a game or two.  As it turned out we ended up with plenty of young people for the game and had an aboslutely wonderful time playing together.  We played on the land that has been purchased for use as a team house, pastor house, feeding center and garden area.  It was just incredible to initiate the land in that way.  We played boys against girls and of course the boys won by one.  Next time, the girls will win!!!  I think when we left, there was a unanimous decision to have the same activity every friday afternoon.  I pray that it will be an opportunity to reach other young people for Christ.
To God be the Glory!!!
